iParaglide believes in empowering pilots for maximum knowledge capture and thereby enjoyment of the sport. The Gear Check Seminar takes pilots through a Paraglider Preliminary Inspection. Participants do a hands on Preliminary Inspection of their own equipment, with instructor guidance, so that in the future, they have sufficient awareness of when their paraglider and harness needs a Detailed Paraglider or Harness Inspection.

- Symmetry Checks
- Paraglider Certification Reports, Specification Tables and Line Diagrams
- The Basics of Detailed Paraglider Inspection and when to get one done
- Demo of Detailed Paraglider Inspection Laser Line Measurements and Porosity Tests
- Paraglider and Harness Maintenance
- Basic Repairs and recognizing the difference between Minor, Moderate and Major Damage or Wear
Gear Check Seminar ($247)* Sep 14, 2024
* 1 day, 8 hour course. Course modules require successful completion and a 80% minimum pass mark, in order for student to be able to do reasonable Preliminary Inspections for themselves (only) in the future. Not to be misconstrued as a replacement for professional paraglider inspection or repair by a qualified technician and facility. The aim of the course is to help pilots recognize when they should take their paraglider in for a Detailed Paraglider Inspection. Full payment of the course must be received prior to commencement of training. We reserve the right to discontinue training any student not following directions or conducting themselves in a manner that creates a negative environment or may endanger themselves or others. There will be no refunds for partial course completions or unsuccessful knowledege capture due to absenteeism, dismissal, or other.
